Art in the Park, Wednesdays, 4:00
- 5:00 p.m., Pineapple Park, Melbourne
This free program for children
of all ages features a different art activity each Wednesday
and is held in Pineapple Park, located across from the Museum
at 1521 Pineapple Avenue, next to the Eau Gallie Library.
Gallery Pals
This is a free program which exposes 3 and 4 year olds to the
Museum environment through hands-on art activities. Participation
is limited. Call 242-0737 to register.

Masters of Surf Photography 2: Art
Brewer 1967-2001
January 5 March 9
Art Brewer has been described
by an eloquent writer as documenting and conveying the
elusive essence of surfing to legions of the Great Unwet
for over thirty years. A self-taught photographer, Brewer has
been a pioneer in surf photography. From his early days in Laguna
to chasing waves around the world, Brewer has garnered critical
and peer respect for his portrayal of surfers and the waves they
ride.
Friederun Friederichs
January 12 February 10
German artist Friederun Friederichs
constructs intricate artists books. Visually arresting
and meticulously crafted, Friederichs explores the form from
every angle. Incorporating mythology, found images, her travel
experiences, and literature, Friederichs creates a world of intrigue
in a book format.
Eighteenth Annual Student Exhibition

An ongoing tradition of celebrating
the creative artistic talents of students in grades 9-12 in Brevard
County.

Brevard Art Museum partners with
the Junior League of South Brevard to sponsor a new event for
artists and not-for-profit art organizations to sell surplus
art supplies and older art work in a tag sale type environment
in the Museums parking lot (during Eau Gallies Farmers
Market). Spaces can be reserved for $25 each, no commissions.

to BAM a single earring, a broken gold chain, an old tie
tack, a gold dental crown, gold coins, gold nuggets, white gold,
platinum, gold, gold, GOLD! Staci Sullivan Walden of Sullivans
Jewelers will determine the value Friday, February 1 from 3-6
p.m. and Saturday, February 2 from 10 a.m. 1 p.m. Donations
accepted through February 14.

The Council of 100 hosts the
Museums most anticipated fundraiser. Local Brevard luminaries
will create art work for live auction, and guests will also enjoy
a delicious cocktail buffet and beverages, plus silent auction.
Sponsorships available starting at $300.
SHOPPING
AT THE MUSEUM:
Visit the Museum Studio Store
located in the Renee Foosaner Education Center for jewelry, pottery,
and paintings created by advanced students and instructors. Hours
are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday 1p.m.
to 3 p.m., plus during special events such as Jazz Friday. The
Museum Store in the Art Galleries has lots of new
items including, books, calendars, greeting cards, handmade cards
from Thailand, jewelry, beaded purses, and much more. Open during
Museum hours.
Museum
Hours: Tuesday - Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday, 1 p.m.
to 5 p.m. Admission (includes the Children's Science Center):
$5 for Adults, $3 for seniors,
$2 for children and students with I.D. Museum members receive
free admission.
The museum is free to the general public every Thursday 1 to
5 p.m.
(Please, no groups on Thursday afternoons.)
