“The Children’s Science Center of the Brevard Museum of Art and Science exists to educate and provide creative interaction through hands-on exhibitions, demonstrations, classes, and workshops with a focus on the physical sciences.”

Welcome to the Children's Science Center

..

The Children’s Science Center opened in March, 1995  and has served more than 200,000 visitors.

Programs include thirty-six hands-on exhibits  which allow children to
actively explore complex concepts through simple, interactive activities. One
of the most popular exhibits is the  FLORIDA EXPLORES! weather satellite
station. This program allows visitors to look at current weather patterns as
seen from outer space. The Children’s Science Center is the only public space
in Florida offering this exciting meteorological program.

..

Another stimulating experience is the SINGING SHADOWS exhibit, which allows visitors to transform their shadows into spontaneous musical compositions through movement.
..
Touring children can participate in a demonstration of the properties of
electricity and laser light.  In conjunction with the exhibitions, the Science Center offers numerous programs, including monthly camp-ins, Science Fair Workshops, tutoring, the Meet the Scientist program, classes, and lectures.
..
The Young Scientists Club meets weekly to do research and implement
exhibitions and interpretive programs.
In the past four years, the Children’s Science Center has made enormous
strides.  With your support and participation, the Science Center will
continue to grow in its role of teaching children and adults the mysteries
and fun of exploring science.
